Academics

At Cathedral School for Boys, students are consistently engaged and challenged to be the scholars and citizens our world needs. Our rigorous academic program builds critical literacy, numeracy and communication skills, all of which serve as a platform for higher-order thinking, problem-solving, and informed expression. Through our research-informed approach, Cathedral students graduate with the skills and capacity to lead in and out of the classroom in high school and beyond.
To explore our full academic program by division and subject, please visit our Lower School (Kindergarten–Grade 4) and Upper School (Grades 5–8) webpages.
Our Portrait of a Graduate statement represents the values that are critical to a Cathedral School education and which we expect all of our alumni to espouse. These shared values are woven into every aspect of a Cathedral School student’s experience throughout their time at the school and at every grade level.
